President-elect John Dramani Mahama has announced key appointments to his Office of the President, effective January 7, 2025.
At the top of the list is Julius Debrah, who has been named Chief of Staff, a position he previously held during Mahama’s earlier tenure as President.
In a statement on January 6, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, an aide to Mahama, confirmed the appointments, emphasising their strategic role in advancing the administration’s priorities.
The appointees and their roles are as follows:
- Dr. Callistus Mahama—Executive Secretary to the President
- Prosper Douglas Bani – Head of Interim Security Taskforce
- Dr. Valerie Sawyerr – Senior Presidential Advisor, Governmental Affairs
- Augustus Goosie Tanoh – Presidential Advisor, Responsible for 24-hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development
- Marietta Agyeiwaa Brew—Legal Counsel to the President
- Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu—Acting Spokesperson to the President
