Stand for Truth Without Compromise- Pastor Ayamah Charges Students
Church of Pentecost-Mpoasei District Pastor John Gilbert Ayamah has charged students to stand firmly for truth and refuse to compromise their Christian values, particularly when confronted with corruption, immorality and other forms of social decay.
He said young Christians had been strategically positioned in schools and communities to serve as a positive influence and should therefore not remain silent when confronted with wrongdoing.
Pastor Ayamah made the call at the 2026 Students Conference organised by the Mpoasei District School Outreach Ministry under the theme "Unleashed in Godly Faith to Transform For Society".
He identified truth as one of the key instruments through which Christians could transform society, comparing its influence to salt, which adds flavour and prevents decay.
“A Christian who is not salty cannot be the real one,” he said, urging students to become “tasty” influences in the spheres where they operate.
According to him, Christians must be prepared to confront corruption, immorality and other forms of societal decay instead of simply observing them.
“You are there to save the situation. That's the reason why God has called you,” he told the students.
Pastor Ayamah urged students to speak against wrongdoing and, more importantly, demonstrate the values they sought to promote.
He said their actions and lifestyles could become a powerful form of Christian witness to colleagues who might otherwise not listen to religious preaching.
He stressed that Christian influence should extend beyond church activities into classrooms, dormitories and other areas of students' daily lives.
The District Pastor further encouraged young people to uphold truth in various sectors of society, including the media, education, politics and the family.
He warned against compromising one's principles for personal convenience or acceptance.
According to him, the way Christians communicate, behave and conduct themselves must reflect their faith.
Pastor Ayamah also urged students not to conceal their Christian identity because of fear of ridicule or social pressure.
“Don't hide your faith. Let people see Christ in you,” he stressed.
He cited Daniel as an example of a young person who maintained his convictions despite finding himself in a foreign environment where his beliefs were challenged.
He said the story of Daniel demonstrated that young Christians could remain faithful to God while excelling in their academic and professional environments.
Pastor Ayamah therefore encouraged students to allow their faith to shine visibly through their conduct and choices.
He said society needed young people who would combine academic and professional competence with strong moral values.
