‘Don’t Hide Your Faith’ — Pastor Ayamah Challenges Christian Students
Church of Pentecost-Mpoasei District Pastor, John Gilbert Ayamah, has challenged Christian students to boldly demonstrate their faith in schools and communities rather than hide their religious identity because of social pressure.
He said students who profess Christianity must allow their conduct, communication and decisions to demonstrate the presence of Christ in their lives.
Pastor Ayamah made the call during the 2026 Students Conference organised by the Mpoasei District School Outreach Ministry on the theme "Unleashed in Godly Faith to Transform Society: You Are the Light of the World.”
“Don't hide your faith. Let people see Christ in you,” he told the gathering.
According to him, Christian students should not be ashamed of expressing their convictions or practising their faith because of concerns about how their peers might perceive them.
He encouraged students to demonstrate their faith in their classrooms, dormitories and communities through their lifestyles.
Pastor Ayamah said the Christian faith must be visible through practical behaviour rather than merely through verbal declarations.
He cited Daniel as an example of a young believer who maintained his faith and convictions while living in Babylon.
He noted that Daniel and his companions refused to compromise their beliefs despite pressure to conform to the practices and traditions of their environment.
According to Pastor Ayamah, the example demonstrated that Christians could remain faithful to God while operating successfully within environments that did not necessarily share their beliefs.
He therefore urged students to resist peer pressure and remain committed to their principles.
He said Christian students must be willing to stand alone when necessary if doing so would protect their faith and uphold what was right.
Pastor Ayamah also encouraged them to excel in wisdom and understanding, noting that Daniel's faith did not prevent him from becoming highly competent.
Rather, he said, the Christian student's faith should complement academic excellence and personal development.
He urged students to become people whose lives could inspire others to seek God.
He said their presence in schools should have a purpose beyond academic achievement, insisting that God could use them to influence the lives of their colleagues.
Pastor Ayamah prayed for students to have their hearts “set ablaze” with passion for God and for the transformation of the people around them.
He said such passion should translate into practical efforts to make schools and communities better.
