Arsenal Disrespects Thomas Partey: Ibrahim Sannie Daara Blasts Gunners’ Deafening Silence on Ghana Star’s Heroics

Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Communication Director Ibrahim Sannie Daara has expressed deep frustration over Arsenal FC’s apparent disregard for Thomas Partey’s outstanding contributions to the Ghana national team during the recent international break.

In a passionate critique on x, Sannie Daara highlighted Arsenal’s failure to acknowledge Partey’s heroic performance for the Black Stars, a silence he described as “deafening”.

“Arsenal refused to acknowledge his efforts—no post, no support, nothing. Yet, they celebrate others on international duty,” he lamented.

While Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus, and Antoine Semenyo were all celebrated by their respective English Premier League (EPL) clubs for their performances during the AFCON 2025 Qualifiers, the Gunners were noticeably silent on Partey’s pivotal role in Ghana’s recent victory.

Sannie Daara questioned whether Arsenal’s reluctance to praise Partey’s national team exploits stems from discontent over his commitment to the Black Stars, especially with his contract set to expire in June 2025.

The former GFA Communications Director noted that Partey, often criticised by some Ghanaians as uncommitted to the national team, has been a victim of Arsenal’s indifference—a sentiment echoed by many Ghanaians who feel the player’s sacrifices for both club and country are undervalued.

“Perhaps they are unhappy he is committed to Ghana. And his contract runs out in June. Combine this with the fact that some Ghanaians label him uncommitted—forgetting he’s also victimised by Arsenal for wearing the Black Stars shirt,” Sannie Daara remarked.

He emphasised that Partey’s consistent performances and dedication on the pitch for both club and country are unmatched, yet the Gunners have seemingly failed to show appreciation.

Sannie Daara’s statement comes at a time when Partey’s future at the Emirates remains uncertain, with rumours swirling about a potential exit amid Arsenal’s reluctance to engage in contract renewal talks.

“Enough is enough. Partey deserves respect—from Arsenal and from us,” Sannie Daara concluded, urging both Ghanaians and Arsenal fans to recognise the midfielder’s immense value.

As the dust settles, many are now questioning Arsenal’s treatment of one of Africa’s finest talents, demanding the North London club show Partey the respect and appreciation he undoubtedly deserves.
