“Your Voices Will Matter in This Government”—Mahama Assures Ghanaians

President John Dramani Mahama has assured Ghanaians that their voices will be at the heart of his administration’s decision-making process, emphasising the importance of participatory governance during his inauguration speech on January 7, 2025.

Addressing a jubilant crowd at Independence Square in Accra, President Mahama pledged to create a government that listens, values, and acts on the concerns of all citizens.

“Your voices will matter in this government,” he declared, drawing enthusiastic applause. “This administration will listen to every voice, from the bustling streets of Accra to the serene villages of the Upper East.”

The President underscored his commitment to inclusivity, vowing to prioritise the welfare of all Ghanaians regardless of political affiliation, ethnicity, or social status.

“This is a government for every Ghanaian. Together, we will build a nation where every voice is heard and every effort matters,” he said.

Mahama highlighted the collective power of the people as the driving force behind national progress, urging Ghanaians to unite for the common good.

In his speech, the President invited citizens to actively participate in governance, stressing that their insights, feedback, and collaboration are vital in shaping policies that reflect the nation’s needs.

“No single leader or political party can achieve greatness alone; it takes the united effort of every Ghanaian,” he remarked.

Acknowledging the challenges the country faces, Mahama expressed optimism about overcoming them through unity, resilience, and shared purpose.

He reassured the nation that his government would focus on addressing pressing issues like economic recovery, education, and job creation.
