UMB Announces Temporary Closure of Branches for Eid-ul-Adha
Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) has announced that all its branches nationwide will be closed to the public on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, in observance of the Eid al-Adha public holiday.
In a notice to customers, the bank indicated that the temporary closure forms part of its recognition of the important Islamic festival, which is widely celebrated across Ghana and beyond.
Despite the closure of physical branches, UMB assured customers that its digital banking platforms will remain fully operational throughout the holiday period. Customers can continue to access banking services via mobile and online channels without interruption.
Additionally, the bank’s 24-hour contact centre will remain available to provide assistance and respond to customer enquiries.
UMB extended warm wishes to its customers, expressing hope that the Eid-ul-Adha celebrations will be peaceful and fulfilling.
The announcement forms part of the bank’s commitment to keeping customers informed while ensuring uninterrupted access to essential banking services during public holidays.
