Sarkodie Not in My Top Three Rappers- Nasty C

South African rap star Nasty C has reignited conversations around his long-standing tension with Ghana’s own hiplife and hip-pop musician Sarkodie after dropping fresh revelations during an exclusive interview with Roselyn Feli on Joy Prime.

The “Zulu Man With Some Power” didn’t shy away from the questions; if anything, he leaned in and let the tea spill.

When Roselyn pressed him about whether Sarkodie ranks among his elite MCs, Nasty C didn’t flinch.

“He’s not in my top three at the moment. No.”

The room tightened. Roselyn pushed again.

“Where is he? Top what?”

This time, Nasty C softened the blow, if only slightly:

“He’s definitely in the top five… but not the top three right now.”

The comment sets social media up for another storm, given the already delicate history between the two African rap heavyweights.

With the past lyrical jabs and subliminals between them, Roselyn sought to know if the door to a Sarkodie–Nasty C collaboration is locked forever.

“I don’t know. We’d have to have a conversation,” he admitted.

Then came the bombshell:
The two have never actually sat down to talk.

“We haven’t, no.”

Why?

According to Nasty C, their misunderstanding might not be as deep as fans think, but clarity has been missing.

“I think a lot of things got lost in translation… No one’s organised that sit-down yet, and we’re both just busy with our lives.”

“If it’s organised? Yeah, I’m down.”

Asked if he’d show up for a peace meeting, his answer was straightforward:

“Yeah, for sure. Why not?”

He went further to explain that he had already extended an olive branch in the song that sparked the controversy.

“I said that in the song I put out… but maybe he misunderstood it or someone told him the wrong message. His response was a little spicy.”

The rapper hinted that Sarkodie’s reply wasn’t what he expected and suggested external influences may have warped the message he intended to send.

Nasty C insists he holds no grudge and is not losing sleep over the situation.

“I don’t know where his head is at at the moment. I’m not really worried about it.”
