MTN Heroes of Change Season 7 has reached a significant milestone, with the jury selecting 10 finalists after five months of rigorous evaluation.
These finalists—comprising individuals and institutions—have demonstrated remarkable selflessness by dedicating their time and resources to improving lives in their communities.
They include Emmanuel Sallah, Mrs. Richeal Adom, Yaw Rockson Adangabey, Judith Kokui, Linda Donkor, Martha Opoku Agyemang, Angela Dwamena Aboagye, Gideon Hopeson Zege, Sakina Mumuni, and Valeria Adzatia. Their projects align with the MTN Foundation’s focus areas of education, health, and economic empowerment.

In the coming weeks, their initiatives will be showcased on selected TV stations to highlight their impact. At the end of the series, an independent panel will select three category winners and an overall winner.
The ultimate Hero of Change will receive GH₵100,000 to support their work, while the three category winners will each receive GH₵50,000. Other finalists will receive cash prizes and citations, with nominators whose nominees make it to the top 10 also receiving GH₵5,000.
Commenting on this milestone, Adwoa Afriyie Wiafe, Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer, emphasised the initiative’s goal of celebrating everyday heroes who make a difference.
“The MTN Heroes of Change initiative shines a light on extraordinary individuals who often go unnoticed despite their immense contributions. By showcasing their work, we hope to inspire others to drive positive change,” she stated.
Launched in September 2024, this season received over 2,000 applications from individuals and institutions by the October 18 deadline.
Since its inception in 2007, the MTN Ghana Foundation has spearheaded over 178 major projects in education, health, and economic empowerment, directly impacting nearly 5 million people nationwide.
