The MTN Group has announced the appointment of David Behr as its new Group Chief Enterprise Business Officer, effective immediately. In this role, Behr will report directly to MTN Group’s Chief Commercial Officer, Selorm Adadevoh, and will lead the company’s integrated enterprise business function.
His appointment follows MTN’s recent strategic consolidation of its converged solutions and group enterprise business unit into a single streamlined structure. This reorganisation is part of MTN’s broader ambition to enhance commercial efficiency and improve synergy across its operations.
“This development follows strategic work initiated earlier this year to streamline MTN’s commercial operations,” the company said in a statement. “The integration forms part of the group’s broader ambition to drive commercial excellence by improving alignment across go-to-market channels and strengthening synergies across functions.”

The company believes that the new structure will allow it to more effectively deliver end-to-end enterprise solutions while expanding its capabilities as a systems integrator and managed services provider.
Commenting on the appointment, Selorm Adadevoh said, “We are excited to welcome David to this new role as we continue to transform our enterprise business for the future. With his experience and leadership, we are confident that MTN will be better positioned to deliver integrated, next-generation solutions that enable Africa’s progress.”
In his new role, Behr will oversee the group’s enterprise strategy, including the delivery and expansion of voice and data services, as well as next-generation solutions such as Internet of Things (IoT), unified communications, and cloud services.
Behr brings more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications and technology sectors. Prior to his new role, he served as CEO of MTN Converged Solutions, where he led key portfolio transformations across major markets.
He also previously held top executive positions at Liquid Intelligent Technologies, including CEO of Liquid C2 and Cloudmania, as well as Group Chief Product Officer and Chief Digital Officer at Liquid Communications.
Behr holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a master of engineering from the University of Bristol.
