The Chief Executive Officer of Ghana’s Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Kofi Baah Agyepong, has officially announced his resignation, effective January 24, 2025, to focus on personal commitments and aspirations.
In a resignation letter addressed to President John Dramani Mahama, Agyepong described his two-year tenure as “an honour and a privilege.”
He highlighted the strides made under his leadership to combat youth unemployment and promote vocational and entrepreneurial development.
“I am formally tendering my resignation as the Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), effective January 24, 2025,” he wrote. “I have decided to step down to focus on personal commitments and aspirations.”
Agyepong also expressed confidence in the agency’s continued success and extended his best wishes to the President. “I wish you continued wisdom and strength in your service to the nation,” he noted.
His leadership at YEA saw the implementation of initiatives aimed at reducing unemployment and empowering young Ghanaians with skills to thrive in an evolving job market.
In his resignation, Agyepong assured a seamless transition, stating his availability to assist with any urgent matters requiring his input.
