GOIL Deepens Ties with Ghana Armed Forces in Strategic Courtesy Call

A delegation from Ghana Oil Public Limited Company (GOIL PLC), led by its Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Mr Edward Abambire Bawa, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) William Agyapong, on Thursday, 29 January 2026, at the General Headquarters.

The visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration between the two institutions.

In his remarks, Mr Abambire Bawa commended the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) for the long-standing and fruitful partnership with GOIL. He expressed the company’s interest in engaging GAF’s engineering services for future construction projects.

In response, Lt Gen Agyapong thanked the delegation for the visit and for GOIL’s consistent cooperation, noting the company’s unwavering support during challenging periods of the GAF. He reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing synergy between both institutions and announced that a technical committee would be established within the GAF to further deepen ties.

The CDS also confirmed that the GAF possesses the requisite equipment, expertise, and operational readiness to support GOIL’s construction initiatives.

Present at the meeting were the Chief Operations Officer, Dr Marcus Dake; Group Chief Finance Officer, Mr Robert Lartey; Head of Corporate Affairs, Mr Robert Kyere; and other directors of GOIL.
