Ghana Is Perishing Because We Lack the Life of God” — Pentecost Pastor
At the Mpoasei for Christ Crusade held at Point 6, Italy Park in Dansoman-Mpoasei, Pastor Alex Kissi Baah delivered a thought-provoking and nation-shaking message titled “Ghana Is Perishing Because We Lack the Life of God.”
Addressing a large gathering of residents, church members, and passers-by, the Trade Fair District Pastor of The Church of Pentecost dissected the spiritual problems behind Ghana’s moral and societal decline.
Pastor Baah explained that the life humans function with from birth is incomplete and easily corrupted.

“The first life God gave man was not eternal. It was a life that could perish, a life that led man into sin, evil, and rebellion.”
He noted that this life combined with human wisdom has steered societies into destruction.
He stressed that even the most intelligent institutions of the world have failed to understand Christ, let alone comprehend the life He offers.
In a sharp critique of national behaviour, Pastor Baah pointed out that many of Ghana’s problems – environmental destruction, corruption, lawlessness, and moral decay – are spiritual symptoms of living without God’s eternal life.
“Look at our nation. By our own wisdom we destroy what God gave us. We destroy our land, our forests, and our water bodies. We destroy each other. This is not the life God intended.”
According to him, Ghana is not perishing because of politics, economics, or policy failures but because the people do not carry the life of God.
Linking life and light, he declared, “The life Jesus brings is light. And when this light shines on your path, you see clearly where to walk.”
He prayed passionately for Mpoasei: “May the light of Jesus shine on this community so that the will of God will reign supreme here.”
Pastor Baah condemned the increasing reliance on worldly wisdom, revenge, immorality, and sinful pleasures.
“Our worldly wisdom leads us to gambling. Political parties come to power to witch-hunt their opponents. Society celebrates fornication and adultery. Some even boast of things like ‘sex buffet’. This shows how far we have fallen.”
Through stories such as the madman of Gadara, Pastor Baah illustrated how Jesus transforms lives and families.
“Everywhere Jesus passed, His desire was to save souls. When He saves one person, He saves an entire household.”
He assured the crowd that the same Jesus was present at the crusade, ready to deliver, heal, and restore.
The sermon climaxed with a powerful call: “Ghana needs the life of God. Mpoasei needs the life of God. You need the life of God. Come to Jesus and receive the life that leads to eternal life.”
He urged the gathering not to delay: “Today is the day of grace. Come to Jesus now. The life you need to become a true child of God is in Him.”
