The Constitutional Review Committee (CRC) is scheduled to submit its final report to President John Dramani Mahama today, Monday, December 22, 2025, marking a major milestone in Ghana’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its constitutional democracy.
The presentation will take place at the Jubilee House in Accra at 2:00 p.m., according to a Facebook post by the Minister for Government Communication, Felix Kwakye Ofosu.
The report is expected to outline proposed reforms to aspects of the 1992 Constitution, following months of consultations, expert analysis and internal deliberations by the eight-member committee.

President Mahama has already hinted at the significance of the committee’s work. Speaking earlier this month during an engagement with the National Peace Council at the Jubilee House on December 10, he revealed that the CRC had briefed him on its preliminary findings about three weeks ago.
“They met me three weeks ago and made a presentation of some of the findings they were going to make. They are quite interesting. They intend to present the final results on December 22. Once the final report is presented, we will make it known to the rest of the nation,” the President said, assuring Ghanaians of transparency in the process.
The CRC was inaugurated by President Mahama as part of broader governance reforms aimed at reviewing and, where necessary, updating provisions of the 1992 Constitution to reflect contemporary democratic realities and national aspirations.
The committee is chaired by Professor H. Kwasi Prempeh, Executive Director of the Ghana Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana), a respected constitutional law scholar and governance expert.
Other members of the committee are Justice Sophia Adinyira, a former Justice of the Supreme Court; Professor Kwame Karikari, a renowned academic and human rights advocate; Mrs Charlotte Osei, former Chairperson of the Electoral Commission; Dr Godwin Djokoto; Ibrahim Tanko Amidu; Dr Esi Ansah; and Dr Rainer Akumperigeya.
