Alhaji Dr. Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Shaributu, the National Chief Imam of Ghana, has paid a momentous visit to the Bulk Oil Storage and Transport Company (BOST) to congratulate the newly appointed Managing Director, Mr. Afetsi Awoonor, on his historic achievement as the youngest CEO in the organisation’s history.
The visit, which took place at the BOST head office in Accra, was a heartwarming gesture that highlighted the close relationship between the Chief Imam’s family and the late Professor Kofi Awoonor, Afetsi’s father. The chief imam’s deep ties to the family made the occasion even more significant as he expressed his blessings and encouragement to the young CEO.
During his address, Alhaji Dr. Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Shaributu commended Afetsi Awoonor for earning the trust of His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, who appointed him to this pivotal role.

He described the position as an immense responsibility and urged the young leader to exhibit integrity, hard work, and dedication in steering the affairs of BOST.
The Chief Imam emphasised the importance of fulfilling the expectations of both the government and the Ghanaian people, advising Afetsi to prioritise transparency and innovation in his leadership. He further encouraged the entire management team to collaborate effectively to achieve the organisation’s goals of ensuring energy security and operational excellence.
Mr. Afetsi Awoonor, a seasoned professional who previously served as a manager at BOST, expressed his gratitude for the chief imam’s visit and blessings. He acknowledged the weight of the responsibility placed on his shoulders and pledged to lead with determination, humility, and a commitment to delivering results.
