Abdulai Bashiru Dapilah Appointed Acting Executive Director of EOCO

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Abdulai Bashiru Dapilah as the acting executive director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), effective January 27, 2025. The appointment was confirmed through a letter from Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President, dated January 23.

This decision, made in accordance with Article 195(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 11(1) of the Economic and Organised Crime Act, 2010 (Act 804), follows the departure of Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, whom Dapilah replaces in the position.

As the acting executive director, Abdulai Bashiru Dapilah is expected to leverage his expertise and leadership to enhance EOCO’s strategic operations. His role will be critical in ensuring the effective enforcement of laws while strengthening the fight against organised crime in Ghana.
