VIDEO: Mahama Will Surpass Nkrumah by 2028 – NDC Communicator
A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) communications team, Henry Adu Frimpong, has stated that President John Dramani Mahama could surpass the legacy of Ghana’s first president, Kwame Nkrumah, by 2028 due to what he described as the “magnificent work” being done within a short period of his current administration.
Speaking as a panellist on the Hot FM Morning Show, hosted by Oman Nana, Mr Adu Frimpong said discussions among some Ghanaians comparing President Mahama with Dr Nkrumah indicate that the president’s performance is already attracting national attention.
“It is good they have started this comparison, but what I want to say is that by 2028, President Mahama will be greater than Dr Kwame Nkrumah,” he stated.

According to him, the Mahama-led administration has introduced major initiatives within a short period in office, including the “Big Push” infrastructure programme and the “MahamaCare” policy, which he said is aimed at assisting vulnerable and stranded patients who are unable to pay medical bills in hospitals.
Mr Adu Frimpong added that the government has also prioritised critical infrastructure projects, pointing particularly to the ongoing reconstruction works on the Tema Motorway.
He argued that such projects demonstrate the government’s commitment to improving the lives of Ghanaians and strengthening key sectors of the economy.
“By 2028, Ghanaians will know that they have voted for an incredible and reliable leader,” he said.
The NDC communicator further suggested that the pace of development under the current administration is one of the reasons some people are already calling for President Mahama to seek another four-year term in office.
Mr Adu Frimpong also criticised the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), accusing it of failing to reconstruct the Tema Motorway during its time in government.
According to him, although the NPP did not undertake the project while in power, they have recently begun discussions about it since the NDC assumed office.
He maintained that the current government’s policies and infrastructure drive are gradually restoring confidence in national development and improving the living conditions of citizens.
