The Ministry of Roads and Highways’ engineering team, led by officials from Accra, has carried out an inspection of the Mepom–Nyanoa road in the Upper West Akim District, together with the area’s Member of Parliament, Hon. Emmanuel Drah.
The exercise, conducted this week, forms part of efforts to address the poor state of roads across the district and reflects the MP’s commitment to prioritising critical infrastructure needs.

Accompanying the team were Hon. Rebecca Chissah, District Chief Executive of Upper West Akim, and Hon. Bonsi Francis, Director of NADMO, who pledged institutional support for swift interventions.
The joint visit was aimed at assessing the extent of deterioration on the stretch and mapping out strategies for rehabilitation and long-term maintenance.
Hon. Drah assured residents that his office would continue to lobby for resources and government attention to ensure that the Mepom–Nyanoa road, along with other deplorable routes in the district, receives the needed upgrade.
