In a move that underscores the growing convergence between terrestrial and space technologies, UNIVITY, a rising operator of space-based connectivity services, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Telespazio France, a European leader in satellite operations and services.
The strategic partnership aims to combine space innovation with operational expertise to create a universal, high-speed, and accessible connectivity solution, seamlessly integrating ground and space infrastructures to serve users around the world.
Under the terms of the agreement, Telespazio France will participate in UNIVITY’s test campaigns to evaluate and demonstrate the performance of UNIVITY’s innovative Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) solution to both civil and defence customers.

The ultimate goal is to integrate UNIVITY’s technology into Telespazio’s service catalogue, offering a comprehensive connectivity package that blends terrestrial infrastructure with VLEO satellite capabilities.
The partnership brings together UNIVITY’s future global VLEO constellation and Telespazio Group’s extensive international footprint, allowing the two companies to deliver high-speed internet to underserved regions worldwide.
UNIVITY will leverage Telespazio’s strategic network of teleports and its operational excellence to accelerate deployment and deliver reliable, secure, and cost-effective connectivity solutions. These services will be easy to integrate into existing telecom infrastructure, benefiting telecom operators, governments, and public service providers across the globe.
Beyond internet services, UNIVITY and Telespazio France are also exploring joint initiatives in other space domains, including satellite-based population alert systems and space surveillance.
This collaboration could see secondary payloads embarked on UNIVITY’s constellation launches, supporting missions that strengthen security, resilience, and digital sovereignty while enhancing the value of the constellation.
“This agreement marks a strategic milestone for UNIVITY and confirms our ambition: to build a hybrid connectivity model combining the strengths of terrestrial and space networks. Together with Telespazio France, we are asserting a global vision of connectivity—universal and competitive,” said Charles Delfieux, President and Founder of UNIVITY.
“This partnership with UNIVITY is fully aligned with Telespazio France’s ambition to support the NewSpace ecosystem through our ‘Operations as a Service’ model,” added Corinne Mailles, Deputy CEO of Telespazio France. “As a trusted operator for French and European institutions and a meta-operator facilitating Defence access to NewSpace, we are proud to contribute to the emergence of a new European space connectivity offer.”
UNIVITY’s unique business model places telecom operators at the centre of the value chain, supported by a hybrid telecommunications architecture that uses 5G spectrum in combination with VLEO satellite technology (at altitudes below 375 km).
This architecture enables high-performance, affordable, and sustainable internet services that can complement fibre and cellular networks, particularly in rural, remote, or crisis-affected regions.
The UNIVITY–Telespazio France partnership represents a major step forward in bridging the digital divide, offering a scalable and competitive European alternative in the rapidly evolving global satellite connectivity market. As terrestrial and space networks converge, the collaboration stands poised to redefine how communities, governments, and industries connect to the world.
