A final-year student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), 21-year-old Daniel Tuffuor, has been remanded into police custody following his arrest in connection with the alleged murder of his colleague, Joana Deladem Yabani.
The shocking incident unfolded on Thursday, February 27, 2025, when Joana’s body was discovered on campus, prompting university security to alert the police.
Authorities suspect a romantic relationship between the two but are yet to establish the circumstances leading to her tragic death.

Tuffuor was arraigned before the Prempeh District Court, where prosecutors requested his remand to facilitate ongoing investigations.
