A brewing feud in Ghana’s music scene has erupted as singer Mr. Drew fires back at music duo DopeNation over claims they helped write one of his hit songs but received no credit.
In a recent interview, DopeNation suggested they played a behind-the-scenes role in crafting the hit track but were sidelined and unacknowledged. The duo expressed disappointment over what they perceive as a lack of recognition from Mr. Drew.
But Mr. Drew isn’t having it.

“They could’ve done their interview without dragging my name into it,” he snapped, branding the comments as “unnecessary and disrespectful.”
The singer, known for hits like This Year and Mood, said the public claim felt more like a petty swipe than a genuine concern.
“It’s giving lame guys throwing tantrums,” he added, making it clear that any attempt to discredit his work or brand would not go unanswered.
DopeNation has yet to respond to Mr. Drew’s remarks, but the tension signals what could become a full-blown industry spat.
