Manchester United have sacked head coach Ruben Amorim after 14 months in charge, following a run of disappointing results in the Premier League.
According to a publication by Sportsbible.com, the Portuguese tactician is expected to leave the club after Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Leeds United, a result that leaves Manchester United sixth on the league table.
According to The Athletic, the club’s Under-18 coach, Darren Fletcher, has been appointed as interim head coach while the search for a substantive replacement begins.

Reports indicate that the decision to part ways with Amorim followed a breakdown in relations behind the scenes between the manager and the club’s hierarchy.
Amorim departs Old Trafford having recorded 24 wins in 63 matches, a return that ranks as the third-lowest win percentage by any permanent manager in Manchester United’s history.
