The Ghanaian social media community has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of popular TikTok content creator Osanju, who passed away on the morning of Monday, September 1, 2025, after a short illness.
His family and close friends have confirmed the news, which has sent shockwaves across TikTok Ghana, where Osanju had built a loyal following with his humour, candour, and openness about personal struggles.
The young influencer was reportedly seen on Sunday, August 31, 2025, watching the Barcelona vs. Rayo Vallecano football match with friends, leading many fans to initially dismiss reports of his passing as a hoax.

However, confirmation from relatives quickly ended the speculation, plunging fans into grief.
Osanju had openly shared his battle with leukaemia, a cancer of the blood, on his TikTok account. In several emotional posts, he spoke about the toll of the illness and even hinted at the possibility of his passing, remarks that are now being revisited with a sense of eerie foreshadowing.
His journey touched many Ghanaians and caught the attention of actress Nana Ama McBrown, who invited him to appear on her Onua Showtime programme, giving him a national platform to share his story.
Osanju’s death comes just five months after he buried his mother, Amounu, herself a TikToker, who died in January 2025. At the time, he had openly shared his grief with his followers, earning widespread sympathy and support.
Losing both mother and son in such a short span has deepened the tragedy for his family and loyal fans.
Tributes have flooded TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram, with fans praising Osanju’s courage, humour, and authenticity. Many describe him as a rising star who used his platform not just for entertainment but also to inspire others battling health challenges.
