Police Declare ‘Ghana Jollof’ TikTok Operator Barbara Asantewaa Kodua Wanted
The Ghana Police Service has declared Barbara Asantewaa Kodua, popularly associated with the TikTok account “Ghana Jollof”, wanted for allegedly inciting violence.
In a notice issued on Thursday, September 17, the police identified the 40-year-old as a wanted person and appealed to the public for information on her whereabouts.
The police said Barbara Asantewaa Kodua was last seen at the Accra International Airport in Accra on August 4, 2022.
According to the notice, she is suspected to be hiding in the United Kingdom.
The “Ghana Jollof” TikTok account has been critical of government officials, although the police did not specify in the notice which particular statements or content allegedly amounted to incitement to violence.
The police have urged anyone with information that could assist in locating Barbara Asantewaa Kodua to report to the nearest police station or call 0500100010.
