The Accra Regional Police Command has arrested two women in connection with the alleged assault of a 12-year-old girl near La Roman Junior High School following a complaint lodged by the victim’s mother.
In a statement issued by the police, the incident was said to have occurred on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. The victim’s mother reported the case after visiting the police station with her daughter, who showed visible signs of physical assault. She alleged that her child was attacked by three women without provocation.
Police officers immediately recorded the complaint and issued a Police Medical Report Form to enable the victim to undergo medical examination.

Preliminary investigations revealed that earlier in the day, the 12-year-old girl had been involved in a minor disagreement with a seven-year-old boy, who is related to the suspects. The situation allegedly escalated when the suspects later went to the victim’s home, lured her to their residence, and assaulted her.
On Wednesday, December 31, 2025, the complainant assisted police officers to arrest Precious Giftan Mesopeh, aged 22, and Princess Giftan Mesopeh, aged 25. The two suspects are currently in police custody and are cooperating with investigations.
A third suspect, identified as Priscilla Novishie Wornyo, aged 49, a fashion designer and mother of the two arrested women, is reported to have travelled to the Volta Region. Police say efforts are underway to locate and arrest her to aid ongoing investigations.
The two suspects have been formally charged and are expected to appear before court on Monday, January 5, 2026.
Meanwhile, the Accra Regional Police Command has cautioned the public against resorting to violence, especially in disputes involving children. The police urged parents, guardians, and community members to resolve conflicts through lawful means and to report incidents promptly to the authorities.
