Mobile Ecosystem Forum Announces New Board Members

The Mobile Ecosystem Forum (MEF) has officially announced the results of its 2025 Board elections, welcoming a dynamic and diverse group of industry leaders.

The elections, held over the past three weeks, concluded with the formal introduction of the new board members at the MEF Global Forum, hosted at Casa Llotja de Mar in Barcelona during MWC 2025.

Seven positions were open for election, with the following executives securing seats on the Board:

  • Stephanie Lashley—VP, Messaging Strategic Alliances & Infrastructure, Bandwidth Inc.
  • Ramy Riad—Director, Innovation & Messaging Strategy, Cisco
  • Matthew Bisoffi—Head of Business Management, Operations & Insights, CKH IOD
  • Rajiv Singla—CEO, Global Messaging, Globe TeleServices (GTS)
  • Viktorija Radman—Telecom Business Director, Infobip
  • Waheed Adam—Executive Chairman, iTouch Messaging Services
  • Tim Ward—Fellow, Xconnect

These newly elected members will work alongside the existing Board, which comprises:

  • Dario Betti—CEO, Mobile Ecosystem Forum
  • Rafael Pellon—Partner, Pellon de Lima Advogados
  • Robert Rose—Member of the Board of Directors, GMS
  • Dr. Marco Lafrentz—VP, Business and Market Development, NetNumber
  • Robert Gerstmann—Chief Evangelist & Co-Founder, Sinch
  • Amira Akra—Product Manager, Messaging, Vodafone Germany

Each new board member will serve a two-year term, contributing to the strategic direction and governance of MEF. Their primary focus will be on advancing messaging solutions, combating fraud, and strengthening privacy protections across the mobile ecosystem.

The election process was conducted entirely online, allowing all full MEF members to participate in the vote. Out of 13 candidates—five women and eight men—seven were elected. Each candidate submitted a short video outlining their vision and contributions, enabling members to make well-informed voting decisions.

MEF CEO Dario Betti expressed his appreciation for the diverse representation on the Board. “MEF’s Board plays a crucial role in defining the organisation’s strategy and ensuring effective governance. As a global body representing the mobile ecosystem, I am pleased to see a Board that reflects a broad range of expertise and geographic diversity.”

He also highlighted the increasing presence of women in leadership roles. “It is encouraging to see more women stepping forward for the MEF Board. While gender representation in the industry remains an ongoing challenge, progress is being made. A more diverse range of perspectives strengthens our organisation and the broader mobile ecosystem.”

Founded in 2000 and headquartered in the UK, the Mobile Ecosystem Forum (MEF) has been at the forefront of driving collaboration, best practices, and innovation in the mobile industry.
