Margaret Ansei Magoo Appointed Acting CEO of Ghana Enterprises Agency

Margaret Ansei, popularly known as Magoo, has been appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA), effective January 27, 2025.

A seasoned public servant with extensive experience in governance and development, Ms. Ansei previously served as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Suhum in the Eastern Region.

Her appointment underscores the government’s confidence in her leadership capabilities and her dedication to fostering development at both local and national levels.

In her new role, Ms. Ansei will lead the GEA in its mission to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across Ghana. MSMEs are widely regarded as the backbone of the Ghanaian economy, contributing significantly to job creation and economic growth.

Under her leadership, the GEA is expected to advance its initiatives, including:

  • Empowering small businesses through innovative programs and capacity-building efforts.
  • Providing financial support to entrepreneurs to facilitate growth and expansion.
  • Promoting entrepreneurship as a driver of sustainable economic development.

Margaret Ansei’s rich experience in local governance and community development positions her to strengthen the agency’s role in fostering entrepreneurship, addressing challenges faced by MSMEs, and creating a more robust ecosystem for small businesses.
