Renowned Ghanaian journalist Kofi Adomah has reportedly sustained a gunshot wound to the eye, according to a heartbreaking revelation by colleague journalist Afia Pokuaa, popularly known as Vim Lady.
In a Facebook post, Afia Pokuaa shared the devastating news, expressing her deep concern and shock over the incident.
She revealed that she has been panicking since learning about the tragic attack and offered heartfelt prayers for Kofi Adomah’s recovery.
“Kofi Adomah, I have been panicking since hearing the news that you were shot in the eye,” she wrote. “May the Lord work overtime on you.”
According to puretvonline sources, the incident occurred during a funeral at Dormaa.
In the course of the celebrations, a man who serves as the “okyeame” (linguist) for one of the chiefs attempted to fire a ceremonial gunshot. The gentleman was positioned just behind Kofi Adomah, and as he fired the gun, Kofi turned his back, resulting in the gunshot striking his face.
One of Kofi Adomah’s eyes has been severely damaged, while the other is reportedly impaired, leaving him with limited vision.
He is currently receiving treatment in the hospital as doctors work to stabilise his condition.
