He alleged that Agyebeng had requested a private jet from the previous Akufo-Addo administration for personal use, which led to his questioning by the OSP.

The arrest has drawn strong support from fellow journalists, who have voiced concerns over press freedom and the treatment of media professionals. Many have taken to social media to demand Asare-Bediako’s release, highlighting the importance of protecting journalists in their line of work.

Asare-Bediako was granted bail, set at five million Ghana cedis, with two sureties. The case continues to attract attention, with many Ghanaians eagerly awaiting further clarification from the OSP on the nature of the charges and the circumstances surrounding his arrest.
