“I Am Immensely Humbled”—Sam George Speaks On His Appointment

Sam Nartey George, the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, has described his nomination as the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations as an immense honour.

Sharing his thoughts on X, the MP expressed deep gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for the opportunity to serve in this capacity, pending parliamentary approval.

“I am immensely humbled by this opportunity to serve his government and our nation. I pledge myself to discharge this duty to the satisfaction of the Ghanaian people and the admiration of His Excellency,” he stated.

Mr. Nartey emphasised his commitment to a transformative agenda, promising to reset the communications sector and re-establish Ghana’s prominence as a leader in digital technology that directly benefits its citizens.

Outlining his vision, the nominee called for collaboration, urging stakeholders to provide constructive feedback to aid in introducing necessary changes and innovation. “I count on you all for constructive feedback to enable me to achieve the needed changes and introduce the needed innovation into the sector. My doors are always open,” he added.

He also took a moment to acknowledge the support of his constituency, family, and the president, reiterating his determination to deliver on the expectations placed on him.
