HOT AUDIO: ”Your Life Will Come to an End” Ntim Fordjour Warns Jakpa

Hon. Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, Member of Parliament for Assin South, former Deputy Minister of Education and Ranking Member of the Defence and Interior Committee in Parliament, has issued a stern warning to the Director of Special Operations at the National Security Secretariat, Richard Jakpa, cautioning him against his aggressive and unconstitutional law enforcement tactics.

Hon. Fordjour condemned Jakpa’s recent actions, particularly his involvement in what he described as ”rambo style” home invasions, warning that such reckless behaviour will have dire consequences.

His remarks come in response to a raid by Richard Jakpa, in which about 20 armed men stormed the private residence of former Bank of Ghana Governor Dr Ernest Addison. The operation, which took place at around 5:00am on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Dr Addison’s residence at Roman Ridge in Accra, saw heavily armed operatives, some in balaclavas and wielding AK-47 rifles, turning the property upside down in a search.

Speaking in a phone interview on Hot FM Morning Drive with Don Kwabena Prah, Hon. John Ntim Fordjour described Jakpa’s approach as reckless and warned that if he does not change his ways, ”his life will come to an end”.

”This country is governed by law, not by brute force. If Jakpa continues on this path, he will soon regret it. Nobody is above the law, and soon, the law will catch up with him,” Hon. Fordhour asserted.

He further emphasised that even in countries governed by military rule, such as Mali and Burkina Faso, security personnel do not behave in such a lawless manner.

He criticised the government for allowing these unconstitutional operations to take place and urged authorities to enforce the law through legal channels rather than resorting to intimidation and unlawful raids.

”It is time to stand up and speak truth to power because these actions are becoming too frequent. If Jakpa thinks he can continue unchecked, he should be aware that the law will catch up with him, and when it does, he will regret every step he has taken,” he added.

Hon. Rev. John Ntim Fordjour also called on President John Dramani Mahama to ensure that law enforcement is conducted appropriately rather than enabling individuals like Jakpa to take matters into their own hands.

He stressed that if former government officials are suspected of financial mismanagement, they should be prosecuted in court instead of being subjected to unconstitutional property seizures and unlawful raids.

Furthermore, the MP accused President Mahama’s administration of selectively dropping high-profile criminal cases while resorting to forceful property confiscations as an alternative means of punishment. He described such actions as hypocritical and detrimental to the country’s democratic governance.

”The government should be focusing on proper legal procedures rather than employing unconstitutional home invasions. We have had enough of this lawlessness,’ he concluded.
