Gyamfi Felix Appointed Acting Director-General of National Service Authority

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Gyamfi Felix as the Acting Director-General of the National Service Authority (NSA).

The appointment, effective January 22, 2025, is in accordance with Article 195(1) of the Constitution and the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119).

The appointment is temporary, pending the constitutionally required advice from the NSA Governing Board, in consultation with the Public Services Commission.

In a letter signed by the Secretary to the President, Callistus Mahama, Ph.D., Mr. Felix has been encouraged to confirm his acceptance of the role within 14 days of receiving the letter.

As Acting Director-General, Mr. Felix will oversee the NSA’s mandate of youth development and national service delivery, which is pivotal in equipping Ghanaian youth with skills and experiences that contribute to national development.

President Mahama extended his best wishes to Mr. Felix as he assumes leadership, expressing confidence in his ability to steer the Authority effectively.

Key government officials, including the Vice President, the Chief of Staff, and the Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, have been formally notified of this significant appointment.

This appointment underscores the government’s commitment to fostering strong leadership in institutions central to youth empowerment and national service.
