The Ghana Medical and Dental Council has inducted 627 newly qualified physician assistants and certified registered anaesthetists into the profession to help improve the equitable distribution of healthcare personnel across the country.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Registrar of the Council, Divine Banyubala, urged the inductees to uphold professionalism and adhere strictly to ethical standards, stressing that human lives have been entrusted to their care.
“We must be guided not only by clinical knowledge but also by ethical conduct that respects the dignity and humanity of every patient,” he stated.
Also addressing the gathering, Chairman of the Council, Agyeman Badu Akosa, underscored the responsibility placed on the new professionals, urging them to prioritise patient care and demonstrate respect for human life at all times.
“You must show respect for human life. You must make the care of the patient your first concern and protect and promote the health of patients and the public.”
