DVLA Boss Wins Best CEO Award at National Honours
The Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority, Julius Neequaye Kotey, has been honoured as Best CEO at the 6th edition of the Ghana Ministers of State Excellence Honours, highlighting his growing reputation for driving reforms and improving service delivery at the authority.
Kotey’s recognition formed part of a broader awards ceremony that celebrated outstanding leadership across government institutions, bringing together ministers, chief executives, and key stakeholders in governance and public administration.
The DVLA boss was commended for spearheading initiatives aimed at modernising operations, enhancing efficiency, and improving public access to services at the authority, positioning the institution as one of the most responsive public service agencies in the country.
The event also saw Cassiel Ato Forson named Best Performing Minister for his role in managing Ghana’s economic and fiscal policies, while Linda Ocloo was adjudged Best Regional Minister.
Other awardees included Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah as best-performing male minister and Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey as best-performing female minister.
Deputy Transport Minister Dorcas Affo-Toffey was recognised as Best Deputy Minister, while Ruth Dela Seddoh was also honoured for her leadership at the National Service Authority.
Organisers of the Ghana Ministers of State Excellence Honours say the awards are designed to promote accountability, innovation, and excellence within the public sector while encouraging leaders to deliver impactful results.
For the DVLA, Kotey’s recognition signals growing confidence in ongoing reforms at the authority, as it continues efforts to transform service delivery and strengthen its role in Ghana’s transport and regulatory ecosystem.
