Dr. Naomi Wolali Kwetey takes over as new CBG MD

Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) has officially appointed Dr Naomi Wolali Kwetey as the new Managing Director, signalling a new era for the bank. Dr Kwetey succeeds Daniel Wilson Addo, who has served as the bank’s first managing director since its establishment in 2018.

In a statement, CBG’s Board of Directors expressed their appreciation for Mr Addo’s leadership, acknowledging his significant role in navigating the bank through its initial stages and ensuring its stability. Board Chairman Yaw Asamoah highlighted Mr Addo’s legacy of strong foundations, which the bank will continue to build upon in the years ahead.

Dr Naomi Kwetey, who brings over 30 years of experience in the financial sector, is well-equipped to lead CBG into its next phase of growth.

Dr Naomi Kwetey holds an MBA in International Banking and Finance and a Doctorate in Business Administration and Management, and her appointment underscores the bank’s commitment to expanding its digital banking, SME lending, and corporate partnerships.

CBG is poised for continued growth under Dr Kwetey’s leadership as she aims to drive innovation, furthering the bank’s role in Ghana’s economic development.
