Dr. Ato Forson Calls for Unity to Steer Ghana Towards Economic Stability

Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has urged the staff of the Ministry of Finance to unite and provide collective support in navigating Ghana toward economic stability.

Speaking at his inaugural meeting with the ministry’s top management on Thursday, January 23, 2024, Dr. Ato Forson emphasised teamwork and a shared commitment to improving the lives of Ghanaians.

“It is a great privilege to return to the Ministry of Finance to serve the people of Ghana. We are here to work together to better the lot of the people of Ghana and will remain mindful of their needs,” he stated.

Accompanied by Fifi Kwetey, a former Deputy Minister of Finance, Dr. Ato Forson laid out his agenda for addressing the country’s economic challenges. His priorities include job creation, prudent fiscal management, exchange rate stability, and reducing inflation.

The meeting marked the minister’s first official engagement following his parliamentary approval and swearing-in by President John Dramani Mahama. Dr. Ato Forson reaffirmed his commitment to driving policies that deliver tangible benefits to the people of Ghana.
