While acknowledging that the outcome was not what his campaign had hoped for, the Abetifi MP said he has accepted the results with humility, reaffirming his commitment to unity, discipline and purpose within the NPP.

He used the opportunity to commend Dr Bawumia on his victory, noting that party unity remains paramount as the NPP charts its future.

“I congratulated my brother, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, on his victory and assured him of my full support as he leads our party forward,” Hon. Acheampong stated.

The former aspirant also expressed heartfelt appreciation to Ghanaians across the country who welcomed him and his team into their communities, as well as to delegates who believed in his vision for the party and the nation.

He paid tribute to his campaign team, coordinators, communicators and thousands of volunteers, acknowledging their dedication and sacrifices. He also thanked his family for their prayers and unwavering support.

Hon. Acheampong further expressed gratitude to former Presidents John Agyekum Kufuor and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for their guidance and to his fellow aspirants for what he described as a spirited and respectful contest. He also commended the Presidential Elections Committee for supervising what he said was a professional and credible process.

Looking ahead, the Abetifi MP stressed that the NPP must now move forward as one united family, with a renewed focus on reconnecting with the Ghanaian people.

“Now more than ever, the NPP must move forward as one family. Our collective responsibility is clear: rebuild trust with Ghanaians, strengthen our structures, and prepare decisively for victory in 2028,” he said.

He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to the ideals of the NPP and to the service of Ghana, invoking blessings on the party, the country’s democracy and the nation.

“God bless the New Patriotic Party, God bless our democracy, and God bless our homeland, Ghana.”
