Black Stars Should Consider Nketiah and Hudson-Odoi for 2026 World Cup- Moses Foh-Amoaning
As Ghana gears up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, former member of the 2014 Dzamefe Commission of Inquiry, Moses Foh-Amoaning, has called on the Black Stars technical team to consider including Eddie Nketiah and Callum Hudson-Odoi in the squad.
Both England-born players of Ghanaian descent are reportedly open to representing the four-time African champions, a move that has stirred debate among football stakeholders.
Some, including Ghana Football Association president Kurt Okraku, argue that players who previously declined opportunities to play for the senior national team should be excluded.

However, Foh-Amoaning, also a private legal practitioner, believes the quality and depth these players bring would significantly strengthen the squad.
“I will plead that we should forgive and do away with the motions when we are talking about Eddie Nketiah and Callum Hudson-Odoi,” Foh-Amoaning said on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show.
“The players we had in 2006 and 2010 cannot be compared with what we have today. That is why I am pleading that we include these two players in the Black Stars squad because of England.”
He highlighted Hudson-Odoi’s recent performances, particularly against Tottenham, as evidence of his potential impact, noting that both players could elevate Ghana’s competitiveness on the global stage.
“If we have him and Eddie Nketiah in this Black Stars team, it will be good for our country, and they will improve the team as well,” he added.
Ghana, drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England, and Croatia, will open their 2026 campaign against Panama on June 17 in Toronto, face England in Boston on June 23, and conclude the group stage against Croatia in Philadelphia on June 27.
Following group-stage exits in 2014 and 2022, the Black Stars will be aiming for a deeper run in 2026, and the inclusion of Nketiah and Hudson-Odoi could provide the boost needed to achieve that goal.
