Ghana’s Black Queens have arrived in Casablanca ahead of their international friendly match against Morocco on Friday, February 21.
The match will serve as the first test for newly appointed head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren following his recent unveiling.
The team departed Accra in the early hours of Saturday, February 15, to begin preparations for the highly anticipated encounter. Shortly after his appointment, Coach Bjorkegren announced his squad, which includes only four players from the Ghana Women’s Premier League, reflecting his strategic approach to team selection.

As part of their build-up to the match, the Black Queens are set to hold their first training session on Monday, February 17, with additional sessions planned in the days leading up to the game. Currently, 18 players are in camp as they gear up for the friendly.
The upcoming clash against Morocco presents an opportunity for Coach Bjorkegren to assess his squad and implement his tactical vision as Ghana continues its preparations for future international engagements.
