Ahmed Ibrahim, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, and Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare Face Vetting Today

The Appointments Committee of Parliament will resume its vetting process today, Tuesday, January 21, 2025, with three high-profile nominees scheduled to appear.

Ahmed Ibrahim, the Minister-Designate for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs, will be the first to face the committee. Known for his extensive experience in governance and community engagement, Ibrahim is expected to outline his vision for addressing decentralisation, traditional leadership issues, and fostering harmony among Ghana’s diverse religious groups.

Following him, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, the Minister-Designate for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, will take the hot seat. Lartey’s vetting is anticipated to focus on her plans to tackle pressing issues such as gender inequality, child welfare, and social support systems for vulnerable populations. Her leadership in this role is expected to set the tone for advancing social equity across the country.
