“We won’t entertain any arrogant appointees”- NDC National Deputy Youth Organizer

The Deputy National Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Osman Ayariga, has issued a firm warning to prospective appointees in the incoming administration of President-elect John Dramani Mahama.

Speaking at the NDC’s victory walk in Accra on Saturday, January 4, 2025, Mr. Ayariga emphasised that the party’s youth would not tolerate arrogance or actions that could undermine the NDC’s newly secured mandate.

Addressing jubilant supporters, Ayariga stressed the importance of humility and responsiveness among those selected to serve in the government.

“We won’t entertain any arrogant appointees,” he declared. “The youth will not stand for actions that risk taking the party back into opposition.”

He urged party members to prioritise unity, grassroots engagement, and accountability as the NDC prepares to assume office.

Ayariga’s remarks underscore the critical role the youth played in the NDC’s electoral victory. With heightened expectations for inclusive and responsible governance, the deputy youth organiser called on party leaders to ensure appointees remain connected to the people.

He further encouraged active participation from party supporters to help the administration deliver on its promises.
