The Sunyani District Court ‘B’ has granted GHC300,000 bail with two sureties each to two female suspects arrested in connection with the murder of Francis Frimpong, popularly known as Pooley, a supporter of Kumasi Asante Kotoko FC.
Presiding over the case on Monday, February 10, 2025, Judge Eric Daning directed the suspects, Elizabeth Akosua Ntiriwaa, also known as “Akosua Black Chinese,” and Yaa Asantewaa, to report to the police twice a week.
As part of their bail conditions, the suspects are prohibited from travelling outside the Sunyani Municipality without judicial approval for the first 14 days.

They have been charged with “abetment to commit the crime, to wit, murder” under Sections 20(1) and 46 of the Criminal Offences Act 1960 (Act 29) and are scheduled to reappear in court on Monday, February 17, 2025.
Meanwhile, the court has ordered the police to continue detaining two other suspects, Isaac Fosu and Augustine Yeboah, for further investigations.
The deceased, Pooley, was stabbed to death on Sunday, February 2, 2025, during a Ghana Premier League match between Nsoatreman FC and Kumasi Asante Kotoko FC at the Nsoatre Professor Amoah Koromansah II Stadium.
So far, seven suspects have been arrested in connection with the crime. Among them are Ignatius Baffour-Awuah, owner of Nsoatreman FC; Joseph Kyeremeh, popularly known as ‘Santos’; and Agyemang Duah Owusu, a police inspector.
Investigations are ongoing as law enforcement authorities work to unravel the full circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
