Savannah Region Elects Tingawura Alhaji Seidu Sampson Abudu to Council of State

Traditional leader and Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Council of Elders in the Savannah Region, Alhaji Seidu Sampson Abudu, popularly known as Tingawura, has been elected as the region’s representative on the Council of State.

Tingawura secured an overwhelming victory, garnering 11 out of 14 total valid votes cast in the election held to select the region’s representative.

In his victory speech, he pledged to serve with dedication and to provide strategic counsel to the President to drive developmental projects in the Savannah Region.

He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people and delegates for their unwavering trust and support.

The election featured four candidates vying for the position, with the final results as follows:

  • Tingawura Alhaji Seidu Sampson Abudu: 11 votes
  • Tolodopewura Abdallah Ahmed: 0 votes
  • Bingowura Adam Samuel Saibu: 2 votes
  • Adamu Seidu Jinkurige (Kongwura): 1 vote

With his election, Tingawura is expected to be a strong advocate for the region, ensuring that its developmental needs and concerns are effectively communicated to the central government.
