Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has initiated a legal review of major contracts inherited from the previous administration, seeking the Attorney General’s advice on their terms, compliance, and viability.
In a letter dated February 12, 2025, addressed to Minister of Justice and Attorney General Dominic Ayine, Sam George emphasised that the review aligns with President John Mahama’s zero-tolerance for corruption policy and the need to ensure value for money in public-private partnerships.
Among the contracts under scrutiny are the commercialisation of the e-government infrastructure awarded to Lebara Ghana Limited and Smart Infraco Ghana Limited, and the common platform for traffic monitoring, revenue assurance, mobile money monitoring, and fraud management, awarded to KelniGVG Limited.

Sam George described this as the first phase of a broader legal audit, assuring Ghanaians that further updates will be provided as the Attorney General’s review progresses.
