President John Dramani Mahama will commence a nationwide “Thank You Tour” this Friday, January 24, starting in the Volta Region.
The tour is aimed at expressing gratitude to Ghanaians for their steadfast support and trust during the 2024 general elections. According to a statement issued by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Acting Spokesperson to the President, the initiative will not only convey appreciation but also strengthen the bond between the President and the citizens of Ghana.
The Volta Region, a vital stronghold of electoral support, has been chosen as the starting point for this nationwide engagement. The highlight of the visit will be a grand durbar, uniting chiefs, queen mothers, opinion leaders, religious figures, labour representatives, and key players from the informal sector.

The durbar is designed to celebrate the region’s diversity and pivotal role in Ghana’s democratic journey, fostering unity and collaboration.
President Mahama’s tour follows a remarkable start to his term. Within two weeks of taking office, he became the first Ghanaian leader to announce a full cabinet, demonstrating his commitment to swift and effective governance.
Ghanaians are encouraged to join the Thank You Tour in celebration of the nation’s achievements and its shared vision for unity and progress.
