Parliament has approved the appointments of Haruna Iddrisu as Minister for Education, Kwame Governs Agbodza as Minister for Roads and Highways, and Eric Opoku as Minister for Food and Agriculture.
The nominees underwent thorough vetting by the Appointments Committee, which assessed their qualifications and outlined visions for their respective ministries. After presenting its report, the committee recommended all three for approval.
During a plenary session chaired by Second Deputy Speaker Andrew Asiamah, members of Parliament engaged in robust discussions on the nominees’ plans to address critical issues in education, infrastructure, and agriculture. A vote followed, leading to their endorsement.
With this confirmation, the new ministers are set to take office and drive initiatives aimed at advancing Ghana’s development goals.
