The Appointments Committee of Parliament is set to begin the vetting of President John Mahama’s nominees for deputy ministerial positions today, marking a crucial step in the formation of his administration.
The hearings, scheduled from Monday, February 24, to Thursday, February 27, 2025, will commence at 9:30 a.m. daily at Committee Rooms 1 and 2 of the Administration Block.
President Mahama has nominated 13 deputy ministers to support their respective ministries in advancing national development and fulfilling the government’s socio-economic agenda.

Additionally, Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba has been nominated as Minister of State in charge of Public Sector Reforms.
Presidential spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu, who announced the nominations on February 5, emphasised that the individuals were chosen based on their expertise, dedication, and alignment with the government’s vision.
“President Mahama is confident that these individuals will bring fresh perspectives and renewed energy to their respective ministries,” he stated.
