The decision on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, followed their vetting by the Appointments Committee on Monday, January 13, 2025.

The vetting process, chaired by First Deputy Speaker and Akatsi South MP Bernard Ahiafor, rigorously examined the nominees’ qualifications, experience, and vision for their respective portfolios.

The Appointments Committee subsequently submitted its report to the House, which sparked extensive debate on the nominees’ competence and plans for addressing critical national issues.

During plenary deliberations, MPs discussed the nominees’ potential contributions to key sectors such as finance, energy, and justice.
The nominees received majority support from Parliament, clearing the way for them to officially assume their ministerial roles.

This marks a significant step in President Mahama’s efforts to establish his government and advance his administration’s policy agenda.
