Parliament Approves Ahmed Ibrahim, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, and Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare as Ministers

Parliament has officially approved the nominations of Ahmed Ibrahim, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, and Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare as ministers following an extensive vetting process and a majority vote in the House.

The vetting, conducted by the Parliamentary Appointments Committee, involved rigorous scrutiny of the nominees’ qualifications, expertise, and vision for their designated ministries.

Ahmed Ibrahim, MP for Banda, will now serve as Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs, where his focus is expected to centre on decentralisation and community development.

Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, MP for Krowor, has been appointed Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, tasked with championing issues of social welfare, gender equality, and child protection.

Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, MP for Techiman North, takes on the role of Minister for Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, where she is expected to spearhead initiatives to boost Ghana’s industrial growth and agribusiness development.
