Selection and Next Steps
The shortlisted nominees will undergo further vetting before final appointments are made. The process aligns with President Mahama’s commitment to ensuring that the most qualified individuals lead the various districts and municipalities.
The appointment of MMDCEs is crucial in the decentralisation of governance, as these officials will be responsible for implementing government policies and development projects at the local level.
The NDC has called for patience and cooperation from all stakeholders as the final selections are made.
