President John Dramani Mahama has announced that findings from the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee will be submitted to relevant investigative bodies to probe suspected cases of state resource misappropriation.
Speaking in the Central Region during his ‘Thank You’ tour on Thursday, February 6, Mahama confirmed that the ORAL Committee is set to deliver its report next week.
He reassured Ghanaians of his government’s unwavering stance on accountability and anti-corruption efforts.
“Next week, the ORAL committee that I set up is going to present its report to me. And I will refer it to the investigative organisations to start their investigations against people who have misappropriated the resources of this nation,” Mahama stated.
He further emphasised that his administration remains committed to transparency, ensuring that governance benefits the entire nation rather than a privileged few.
In addition to holding past officials accountable, Mahama outlined plans to strengthen institutional oversight by implementing a comprehensive accountability framework and a strict code of conduct for individuals in positions of trust. He stressed that ethical governance would be upheld across all levels.
“Even as we investigate those who have just left office and we carry out our Operation Recover All Loot, those who are current office bearers should also know that they will be held to the same standard as we are holding the past regime,” he asserted.
Mahama’s declaration reinforces his administration’s commitment to combating corruption and promoting good governance through systematic and fair accountability measures.
